As women, we have a lot going on in our lives constantly taking care of others … and it’s really easy to forget about taking care of ourselves! That’s why we have a brand new program on Rebel 95.5 called “A Closer Look at Women’s Health”. Each Wednesday morning at 6:35 and 7:35 during Bob and Sheri, I will interview a professional from RMH Women’s Health Focus. If you can’t catch the interview live, you can always just log on to Rebel955.com and click on the button right under my blog and listen from there. The topics we cover are really important and something I hope you will take the time to listen to and really think about!
A Closer Look at Women’s Health
October 6th, 2009Been A Long Time!
September 22nd, 2009Hey guys,
sorry it’s been so long since my last post, it’s really busy around here at the station! We’ve got some GREAT new songs on our station this week! Be listening for Billy Currington’s “That’s How Country Boys Roll”, Jason Aldean’s “The Truth” and Steel Magnolia’s “Keep On Loving You”. I really like all these songs … I think they will be a good addition to our station. I especially like the sound of Steel Magnolia … they don’t sound like your typical country group.
For some country news, as you know, Brooks and Dunn are calling it quits - but they’re not going quietly!! They’ve landed at #1 on the Country Album Chart with “#1s … and then some”. The album sold just over 55,000 in its first week alone!
Kenny Chesney said his goodbyes last Saturday on the last night of his Sun City Carnival Tour. He’s going to take a little breather for now and record another CD which is due out Spring of 2010. He says it doesn’t mean there won’t be any shows or music period … just not any huge tours.
“It’s hard to believe we’re putting this thing up on blocks. The response from the fans, out in the crowd and the Internet, it makes [me] feel like people understand, and that they know we’re not gone for good, it’s just a breather. This isn’t just a show, this is a major production … and it’s not just, ‘Decide what to play, rehearse for a couple weeks and get out there.’ I need a break from that, so I can get back inside from a fresh place - and I’m really looking forward to that, because I don’t know anyone who keeps their foot on the gas like this for 8 years.” I think if anyone deserves a break, it’s Kenny

Randomness :)
July 23rd, 2009So today I realized that there’s always a catch. To everything. I was looking online and found this place that says you can buy an acre of land for as little as $250 bucks. I got really excited because, “what? i could actually own a piece of land??” so i went to the website, CheapLandInAmerica.com and was highly dissapointed. I would need to have $22,792 at the least to get my little hands on any of this land. You can’t just buy one acre. But hey, if you’re looking to buy 1,085 acres in West Texas and have a spare $248,465 on hand, you’re in luck my friend.

You can help by dropping off items like pencils, pens, notebooks, erasers, and all that kind of stuff! anything you can donate is a huge help!! They’re collecting supplies at Golden Rule Homes on Rt. 11 in Mt. Crawford! Thanks so much for your help
“Boots On”

Spotlight on Staunton from Emilio’s Italian Restaurant
June 3rd, 2009Hey! We had a great time at Emilio’s this past Saturday. It was such a beautiful day and the sidewalks of Downtown Staunton were packed! I even saw a group getting a tour - had no idea they did that! It was really neat to get to meet so many businesses that make Staunton so great. I’m definitely going to have to go check out Design @ Nine. The owner, Kristi, was so much fun to listen to … I think she may have a career in radio broadcasting! She really gets to know her customers and actually buys shoes and clothes for her store with specific customers in mind! I think it’s small, local, devoted shop owners like that, that make Downtown Staunton so successful! I’ve posted pictures from Saturday online - if you click the ”pictures” button on our homepage you can see them! Looking forward to our next “Spotlight” event, so much fun to meet our clients and listeners! Thanks for coming out!!

REBA
May 27th, 2009Hey all,
